Overtime: Overtime may be required and will be paid in accordance with Alberta employment standards
Job Description
Charparo Tree Farm is seeking reliable and hardworking Nursery Workers to assist with the planting, cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of trees and nursery stock. This is a physically demanding outdoor position.
Job Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Plant, transplant, and pot trees, seedlings, and nursery stock

Water and tend to plants, shrubs, and trees

Apply fertilizers and assist with soil preparation

Assist with pruning, shearing, and trimming trees
-
Dig, wrap, and prepare root balls
-
Weed and maintain nursery beds
-
Identify and report signs of plant disease or insect damage
-
Spray plants with fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides as required

Load, unload, and move nursery materials and equipment

Clean and maintain work areas
Work Conditions

Outdoor work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, wet)

Physically demanding

Repetitive tasks

Standing, bending, crouching, kneeling for extended periods

Handling heavy loads (up to 45 kg / 100 lbs)
Requirements
-
No degree, certificate, or diploma required
-
Previous nursery or farm experience is an asset but not required
-
Must be reliable and able to work as part of a team

Must have own transportation, as public transportation is not available
